I am currently working on becoming a Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate and the estimated date of achievement is March 2023. This course has taught me how to investigate, respond to, and hunt threats using Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft 365 Defender, and some third-party security products. Since the security operations analyst consumes the operational output of these tools, they are also a critical stakeholder in the configuration and deployment of these technologies. Using these tools and gaining practical experience has given me the confidence to take on any Security Operations Analyst role.
